A photo exhibition highlighting the plight of victims of terrorism in Kashmir was held recently at the United Nations’ Broken Chair.

The central focus of the exhibition, organised by ECO FAWN Society, was to humanise the statistics surrounding terrorism, giving a voice to the affected communities, particularly women and children, in Kashmir, according to a press release.

The event was aimed to raise awareness about the ongoing struggles faced by the region’s people. Through striking imagery, the exhibition vividly depicted the personal stories of loss, survival, and resilience in the face of decades of violence and instability, it said.

The exhibition was attended by UN delegates, diplomats, foreign travellers, NGOs, human rights activists, media personnel, and members of the public from diverse backgrounds.

The participants praised the initiative for creating a platform to foster empathy and dialogue on the issue, the release said. Public feedback emphasised the emotional impact of the photographs, inspiring conversations about peace, reconciliation, and justice for the victims.

The ECO FAWN Society is a non-governmental organisation focused on environmental and human rights issues.
