The Power Ministry today said that the transmission plan for the integration of 5 lakh MW Renewable Energy capacity is being implemented in a phased manner commensurate with Renewable Energy potential in the country.

In a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha,  Minister of State for Power Shripad Naik said projects of the capacity of 7300 MW of Nuclear Capacity are under construction and 7000 MW is under various stages of planning and approval.

The Minister further added that more than 1.27 Lakh MW of Renewable Energy is under construction and around 90 thousand MW is under various stages of tendering.

He said Renewable Purchase Obligations (RPOs) and Energy Storage obligations Trajectory are in force till 2029-30.

The minister added that around 14 thousand MW of Hydro Electric Projects and 6050 MW of Pumped Storage Projects are under construction.

He said that 24,225  MW of  Hydro Electric Projects and 50,760 MW of Pumped Storage Projects are under various stages of planning.
