In an unprecedented move, the Supreme Court on March 22 uploaded an inquiry report by Delhi High Court Chief Justice D.K. Upadhyaya, including photos and videos, regarding the alleged discovery of cash at Justice Varma’s residence. In his report to Chief Justice of India (CJI) Sanjiv Khanna, Justice Upadhyaya concluded that the incident warranted a deeper probe.
Justice Varma has strongly denied the allegations, insisting that neither he nor his family members ever placed any cash in the storeroom of his residence.
