In Libya, at least 11 people lost their lives after a migrant boat capsized near the country’s eastern coast. The tragic incident occurred near the Harawa coast, close to the city of Sirte, in eastern Libya. Rescue teams have so far recovered 11 bodies from the sea.
The latest incident adds to the list of several migrant boat tragedies, where lives were lost after people opted for illegal means and routes to reach European countries. These illegal migrants pay hefty amounts to the human traffickers, who use illegal means to transfer them to Europe.
