A group of 25 students, comprising 16 boys and 09 girls, along with 02 teachers from Hanu Aryan Valley in Ladakh, embarked on a National Integration Tour to The Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regimental Centre on November 1-2, 2023, under the guidance of Fire & Fury Corps.
This educational initiative marked the students’ first trip outside Ladakh, aiming to broaden their horizons by exposing them to the diverse cultures, traditions, developmental aspects, and technological advancements across India. The tour aimed to inspire the students, encouraging them to pursue higher education, secure meaningful jobs, and contribute significantly to the nation’s progress.
During their stay at the JAK LI Regimental Centre, the students explored the Maqbool Sherwani Museum, delving into the history of Jammu and Kashmir, and the Hall of Fame, which immortalizes the brave tales of the Regiment’s fallen heroes. An enlightening movie screening provided insights into the Regiment’s background. The students also visited an operational unit, engaging with frontline troops and experiencing military equipment displays.
The tour facilitated interactions between the students and the Regimental Centre’s personnel, emphasizing the importance of National Integration and motivating the students to consider career opportunities within the Armed Forces. The youth and their teachers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Army for the invaluable experience, gaining insights into rich traditions and potential career paths within the Armed Forces.
