Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) Summit, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi this evening.
GPAI is a multi-stakeholder initiative, which aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice on Artificial Intelligence by supporting cutting-edge research and applied activities on AI-related priorities. Top Artificial Intelligence Gamechangers from across the world will participate in different events including Intel, Reliance Jio, Google, Meta, Paytm and Microsoft. Our correspondent reports that India is the lead chair of GPAI in 2024.
The Summit will provide an opportunity to know what the world is thinking on Artificial Intelligence and what India is offering. Launched in June 2020 with 15 members, today the GPAI’s membership has expanded to 28 member countries and the European Union. During the three day summit, multiple sessions on diverse topics like Artificial Intelligence and global health, education and skilling, Artificial Intelligence and data governance, among others will be organised.
Other attractions in the summit include Research Symposium, Artificial Intelligence Gamechangers Award and India AI Expo. The summit will witness participation of more than 50 GPAI experts and over 150 speakers from across the countries. Besides, students who are winners under YUVA AI initiative and start-ups will also showcase their Artificial Intelligence models and solutions.
