Over 13,000 scholarly journals published by 30 reputed publishers are included in the One Nation One Subscription scheme. The scheme was launched by the Ministry of Education to provide countrywide access to scholarly research articles and journal publications. All higher educational institutions under the Central and State Governments and research and development institutions can access these articles and journals for the next three years till 2027.

The minister of state in the Ministry of Education, Dr Sukanta Majumdar, informed Rajya Sabha during question hour that over 5999 crore rupees have been allocated for the subscription of these journals under the One Nation One subscription scheme. The goals of the scheme are to promote research by equipping students, faculty and researchers of all government institutions with the best global resources, fostering innovation and enhancing the quality of research across disciplines.
