Information and Broadcasting and Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has held a meeting with the Minister for Digital Transformation of Japan, Taro Kono, in Tokyo to discuss strengthening India-Japan digital ties. The two leaders explored avenues for collaboration and innovation in the digital landscape, focussing on futuristic technological advancements. Mr. Vaishnaw also met with the MD and Chairman of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation, Mr. Tadashi Maeda, to discuss progress under the India-Japan strategic partnership. They exchanged views on key areas of cooperation and future opportunities.

Earlier, Mr Vaishnaw had a meeting with the Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of Japan, Masafumi Mori, for a comprehensive discussion on the current state and future trajectory of the India-Japan strategic partnership. During his visit, Mr Vaishnaw, who also holds the charge of the Ministry of Railways, had a productive discussion with the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism of Japan, Tetsuo Saito, on enhancing India-Japan railway cooperation, promoting economic growth, and deepening cultural ties.
