India contributes $37.64 million to UN regular budget for 2025

India has contributed 37.64 million US Dollars to the United Nation’s Regular Budget for this year, securing its place among the 35 member states honoured for timely and full payment of their dues. This contribution was made on the 31st of last month. 

The spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Mr. Stephane Dujarric, acknowledged India’s timely contribution during a daily press briefing yesterday.

India has consistently upheld its reputation for meeting its financial obligations to the UN on time and in full.  India’s continued commitment underscores its dedication to the principles and responsibilities of UN membership.

UN General Assembly President Philemon Yang, who is scheduled to visit India from today to the 8th of this month also praised India’s reliability in a recent interview, stating that the country continues to fulfil its obligation as a member state of the UN by paying its dues in full and on time.
