India will organize the first Global Cooperative Conference from 25th to 30th November in New Delhi. Secretary of the Ministry of Cooperation, Dr Ashish Kumar Bhutani, said this while addressing the media in New Delhi today. Dr. Kumar said that this five-day conference will focus on exploring innovative solutions, technologies, and best practices for the cooperative movement. He said that it is a proud moment for all, as this will be the first time in the 130-year history of the International Cooperative Alliance that the conference will be held in India. Director General of the International Cooperative Alliance, Jeroen Douglas, said that there are 3 million cooperatives across the world and India stands out as the leading country with the highest number of cooperatives.
