India has expanded its collaboration with the United Kingdom in key areas of telecom, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies. Telecom Secretary Dr. Neeraj Mittal visited the United Kingdom and met National Scientific Adviser Chris Johnson.

The Communication Ministry said this visit underscored the shared commitment of India and the UK to drive innovation in telecom and digital infrastructure, paving the way for enhanced collaboration in next-generation connectivity solutions.

During the meeting, they discussed emerging technologies and their applications in 5G, 6G, and digital infrastructure security. The Secretary also met with the Director of the Digital Directorate, Government of Scotland, Geoff Huggins, and discussed collaborative efforts in digital transformation through telecom, telecom security, and emerging telecom technologies.
