Union Minister of State for Finance, M P Chaudhary led a high-level delegation to the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) Conference 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The two-day conference, running December 4-5, focuses on “Shaping Tomorrow for Sustainable Ecosystems.”

During the conference, Chaudhary held bilateral talks with Saudi Finance Minister Mohammed Al-Jadaan to enhance economic and tax cooperation between the two nations. The minister also participated in an inter-ministerial panel discussing economic recovery and growth amid global challenges, where he highlighted India’s policy innovations and growth strategies.

Central Board of Direct Taxes Chairman Ravi Agrawal shared India’s technological advances in implementing multilateral tax agreements during a panel discussion, particularly focusing on the Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI) and international taxation fairness. The delegation also included CBIC Member Vivek Ranjan.

The conference brings together global experts and decision-makers to explore emerging trends and technologies in taxation and customs. Through dialogue sessions, workshops, and technical exhibitions, the event aims to establish sustainable frameworks for future economic cooperation.
