Lanka India Business Association (LIBA), a group to boost economic ties between India and Sri Lanka, has been launched with an aim to unlock trade opportunities between the two countries. LIBA President Santosh Menon highlighted Sri Lanka’s rich trading history, from spices to textiles, and emphasized the need for deeper engagement with India. Indian High Commissioner, Santosh Jha, welcomed the initiative, citing the long-standing commercial links between the two nations. With India emerging as a global economic powerhouse, LIBA seeks to facilitate closer business partnerships.
