Under the ‘Make in India’ initiative 27 manufacturing and services sectors including Aerospace and Defence, Automotive and Auto components, Bio-technology, Textiles and Apparel, Tourism, Hospitality, and Education services are getting benefits in the country.
In a written reply in Lok Sabha Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasad said the Make in India initiative was launched on 25th September 2024 to facilitate investment, foster innovation, build best-in-class infrastructure and make India a hub for manufacturing, design and innovation.
The minister said under the Make in India initiative the investment outreach is being made from different ministries, state governments and Indian missions abroad.
