Prime Minister Narendra Modi has termed the induction of the fully made-in-India aircraft carrier INS Vikrant as a historic day for India. Sharing a video on his Twitter handle today, Mr. Modi said, words will not be able to describe the feeling of pride that he felt yesterday when he was on board INS Vikrant. With the commissioning of INS Vikrant, India has entered into a select band of Nations having niche capability to indigenously design and build an Aircraft Carrier. The carrier is equipped with the latest state-of-the-art equipment and systems.
Prime Minister commissioned the first indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant at Cochin Shipyard in Kochi and also unveiled the new Naval Ensign for the Indian Navy yesterday. He called it a red letter day in the history of India. He said, be it territorial security or economic security, India is witnessing huge opportunities. The Prime Minister exuded the pride that every Indian is experiencing on the commissioning of INS Vikrant.
