Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the Swachh Bharat Diwas 2024 programme on the occasion of the 155th Gandhi Jayanti today morning in New Delhi. The event marks the completion of 10 years of the launch of one of the most significant mass movements for cleanliness, the Swachh Bharat Mission.
During the programme, Mr Modi will launch and lay the foundation stone for several projects related to sanitation and cleanliness, worth over nine thousand six hundred crore rupees. It will include projects worth over six thousand eight hundred crore rupees aimed at enhancing urban water and sewage systems under AMRUT and AMRUT 2.0, ten projects worth over one thousand 550 crore rupees focused on improving water quality and waste management in Ganga basin areas under National Mission for Clean Ganga and 15 Compressed Biogas Plant projects worth over one thousand 332 crore rupees under GOBARdhan Scheme.
