To commemorate the martyrdom of Chhotte Sahibzades, Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji, the youngest sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, a three-day annual Shaheedi Sabha, began with religious fervour and ceremonies at Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab. To mark the beginning of the religious programme, Akhand Path of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was started at Gurdwara Jyoti Swarup, yesterday. Gurdwara Jyoti Swarup is the holy place where the two Sahibzadas and their grand mother, Mata Gujri Ji, mother of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, were cremated.
Large number of devotees from across the country and abroad are paying obeisance at this Gurdwara and Gurdwara Fatehgarh Sahib, where the two sahibzadaas were bricked alive into a wall on 26 December 1705. The Shaheedi Sabha will conclude tomorrow with Nagar Kirtan. Elaborate security and traffic arrangements are in place for the convenienceof the public
