The United Nations secretary general, António Guterres today condemned Iranian strikes on Israel.

Speaking to the UN Security Council, the Secretary-General said it was high time to stop what he called the “deadly cycle of tit-for-tat violence” in West Asia.

Meanwhile, Israel has reported the deaths of seven more soldiers in southern Lebanon. The IDF also says seven soldiers have been injured. In total, eight Israeli soldiers have been reported killed in combat – the first inside Lebanon since the invasion began.
