Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a review meeting in Raipur to assess the situation of Left Wing Extremism in Chhattisgarh last evening.

During the meeting, the Home Minister asked all forces and agencies to make joint efforts for complete elimination of Left Wing Extremism by March 2026. He said, during the last one year, the Naxals have suffered maximum damage due to our security forces and called it a huge success.

Mr. Shah however said, a lot is yet to be done to eliminate Naxalism before March 2026 and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) will play a very important role in this effort. On the second day of his two day visit to the state yesterday, the Union Home Minister reviewed the operational preparedness of the forces at Gundam forward operating base in Bijapur district.
